Westover FVCW Series microscopes offer users a way to inspect both loose patch cords and connectors mounted in bulkheads, transceivers, and other hard-to-reach interfaces. Patch cords can be easily inserted into the front of the microscope, while the “probe” unit (sold together or separately - see ordering information below) can be an euvered to reach an interconnect. Both microscopes utilize coaxial illumination to provide the user with a critical view of fine scratches, making them the ideal choice for manufacturing, production, and QC environments. The FVCW systems feature an attached 9” monitor that is inclined backward 22.5º and accept all FMA-Series adapters. The FVCW workstations incorporate the new ScratchView™ feature. In the normal viewing mode you can easily see defects and debris across the end-face, but by pressing the ScratchView™ button on the front of the microscope you can also see scratches across the core and cladding not seen before!
