All Westover Field Microscopes are hand-held inspection tools that will provide years of service, true optical performance, and laser safety. Their design incorporates an LED for illumination that provides 100,000 hrs. of lamp life and optimizes battery life.
The C-Series Fiber Microscope utilizes coaxial illumination to maximize the detail seen by the user. Because the light travels along the same axis as the sample inserted into the microscope, even fine scratches and contamination are easily visible. The C-Series scope is ideal for critically inspecting polish quality.
Coaxial illumination provides the most critical view of fiber end-faces, renders scratches highly visible and is the clear choice for field termination in sensitive installations.
Easily changeable adapters are available for any type of connector. The rubber boot provides a slip-resistant grip, while a built-in laser safety filter provides a high level of attenuation at the most common laser wavelengths in case of accidental viewing.
